Lindle Romero joined MetroAir virtual as a pilot in September of 2006 after 4 years of flying strictly in the combat aviation arena (IL2 Sturmovik). He successfully co-founded the TX-Squadron ( www.txsquadron.com )in IL2 with two of his co-workers from the famed and fallen Enron company. The TX-Squadron is well known in the IL2 arena not only for being a top notch fighter squadron, but were also leaders in innovation with IL2 server technology. TX was the first squadron to have a scripted 24/7 server. Other accolades for the group were best flight video from IL2 and our own XO Brett Goldsmith (callsign "EcoDragon") was voted the top fighter pilot in the IL2 world.

Lindle bought MSFS2002 and he never really used it for anything other than putting around VFR. Brett Goldsmith, who is an aerobatic pilot in real life, got Lindle into flying online by getting him on Vatsim and teaching him how to read charts, fly via the instruments, etc. Lindle bought FS2K4 not that long after and began looking for a VA. He came across the MetroAir virtual website in mid 2006 and decided that this group looked professional, didn't have too many pilots, and the forums indicated that is wasn't a place where people all flamed each other. Lindle joined MAV in September of 2006. Some time in 2007 Lindle started hosting MetroAir's Teamspeak servers. Later that year Lindle was hired on as the Director of Training for MetroAir, then eventually applied to be the ONT Hub Manager when James Denney stepped down from the position. Lindle still holds this position today. Lindle loves the position as well as the only VA he belongs to. "My blood runs green!" as he has said it many times.. :)

In real life Lindle works as an IT Sr. Specialist for a natural gas pipeline company. The company has over 18,000 miles of pipelines in the U.S. and also has an operational LNG facility.
