Mark has always long-held to "aviation philanthropy", that is to say, Mark is an avid promoter of youth in aviation. With the internet becoming the preferred medium of gathering information and connecting with others, Mark decided in 2005 to build a safe, clean and respectable website on the internet for people young and old to try their hand at the life of being an airline pilot.

In 2006, through a brief phase of development, Mark and his young protege Nick Bartolotta together built upon Mark's ideas and founded what would eventually become MetroAir Virtual with Tom Collins and Stuart Johnston, both residents of the United Kingdom.

Mark continues to play a role in the management and finance of the project, though creative and operational control of the group has since been passed from Mark to Tom Collins of Bristol, UK.
