James joined MetroAir in May 2007. James has had a love of aviation dating back to his childhood. Having grown up near Houston's George Bush Intercontinental Airport, he spent many evenings looking toward the sky watching planes. After joining MetroAir, he began flying regional routes out of the former Detroit hub, quickly gaining rank status. After reaching the rank of first officer, James accepted the Scheduling Assistant position within the MetroAir staff in December 2007.
In his everyday life, James is a Police Officer with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. While James has devoted the majority of his adult life to law enforcement, he has also worked as a ramp worker for AMR services, a subsidiary of American Airlines. James is married and has two boys, ages 8 and 4.
