Del Steel

Del was hired by MetroAir on January 22nd 2006 and remained an active pilot for over a year accumulating over 80 Pireps and more than 150 hours. In March 2007, Del made the transition to the staff position of Human Resources Manager, a position he held for 9 months.

Del was invited to join the Executive Management team on December 9th, 2007 and now holds the position of Chief Financial Officer, filling the void left by previous CFO Clint Watson.

Del's love of aviation stems from an early age and his ambition was to become a pilot. On enrolling for the RAF he was diagnosed as colourblind at his final medical, ending his piloting career before it even began. Del turned to his PC and to Flight Simulator to continue his dreams.

A user of Flight Simulator since FS98, Del returned to the simming community in late 2005 after a three year hiatus to complete his education. Living in Kilmarnock, Scotland with his Fiancee of 7 years and 2 year old Son, Del works in retail as a Line Manager and has a passion for getting the most out of people.

The first to admit that his knowledge of the aviation business is not as great as it could be, Del is more than willing to learn new things and hopes that with the experiance and friendship of the other MetroAir staff, that together we can continue to make MetroAir the best Virtual Airline in the community.
